Congalsa’s Scientific Committee

Members and lines of work

Our commitment to healthy eating and the benefits of a balanced diet is strengthened by the creation of a working committee focused on the development of foods with better nutritional properties.

Integrated by nutrition experts and members of Congalsa's R & D and Quality departments, its main function is to guide and lay the basis for the development of new products as well as the reformulation of current ones, in order to make them more balanced and comply with the principles of a healthy and pleasant diet. Main lines of action and analysis of Congalsa’s SCIENTIFIC COMMITTEE are:

  • Identify and evaluate trends in present and future nutrition.
  • Evaluate, in accordance with the food safety policies determined by the EU, the risks derived from the use of certain ingredients.
  • Determine the appropriate measures to guarantee the protection of health and proposing alternatives with full guarantees.
  • Participating, from the genesis, in the development of products with high nutritional value.
  • NAOS Strategy implementation, focused on the promotion of a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
  • Product development adapted to specific nutritional needs.
