Solar photovoltaic energy, key in our Energy Efficiency Plan

Congalsa's commitment to energy efficiency and the use of renewable energies, firmly moves forward into its goal of minimizing the environmental impact of our activities. For achieve this, we completed the phase 2 installation of photovoltaic panels in our facilities of Deán.

This complex houses our factory of gluten-free products, in which our lines of natural and battered snacks are produced exclusively for coeliacs and is certified by FACE (Federation of Coeliac Associations of Spain). This site also houses three refrigerators with a capacity of 30,000 m3

This project started in 2016, with the installation of 333 photovoltaic modules with an annual capacity to generate clean energy exceeding 175,000 Kwh. Thanks to this installation, we managed to reduce our electricity consumption and reduce the dependence on non-renewable energy sources, avoiding the emission into the atmosphere of 67 tons of CO2 per year.

With this second phase, the annual capacity of energy generation exceeds 285,000 Kwh, thanks to the installation of 200 more solar panels, reaching a total of 533 units. Thereby, we avoid an emission of CO2 into the atmosphere greater than 107 tons / year, equivalent to 10,667 trees planted.
